Manual lymphatic drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage 1400 933 Olivia Grace

The main function of the lymphatic system is to absorb and drain excess fluid from the intercellular space and transporting it back into the blood circulation. A dysfunction in this drainage system can occur after injuries, operations or even from genetic disorders. This results in excessive fluids in the tissues and this condition is commonly known as oedema (swelling).

This treatment reduces swellings so that the healing process of wounds and scars is accelerated, pain is reduced and the movement in affected joints and body areas is regained.

Manual lymphatic drainage is a very relaxing and soothing therapy and also activates the immune system.
